PTM DownTown is a Portuguese hostel in Portimão, that started 4 years ago with a 22 beds hostel. At the beginning, we were only 3 people working and we all cleaned, changed beds everyday and had fun checking in guests from all around the world.

Portimão is a port city in the Algarve region, southern Portugal. It is known for its historic center, lively marina and amazing beaches. The city is divided into three areas, namely the Center, Praia da Rocha and Alvor.

Downtown hostel is located in the historic center, 5km away from Praia da Rocha and 9km away from Alvor.

WHY US?

PTM DownTown opened in 2016 in the city center has since been providing an incredible experience for all who visit. Close by, you can visit amazing beaches such as Praia da Rocha, Praia do Alemão and beaches in Alvor.

Go to the Benagil caves, take some surf or paragliding lessons and enjoy the best our country has to show you. If you prefer to chill, the hostel has some shared but quiet rooms for you, too!
